Hi and welcome my to blog.

My name is Jonathan Groot. I am a Global Health and Nutrition Bachelor’s student with a second love: caricature (and art in general). My blog is an invitation into my art world where I hope I can put a smile on your face.

If you would like to commission me for your own personal piece of artwork please view my contact information. I am also available for live caricature work in the Copenhagen area. Prices will vary depending on what is requested.

  1. Jonny BOY! What up man it’s your ol’ raft building buddy-Jeremiah. I saw your blog on Facebook and wanted to check out it out. I always love to see your work, it’s pretty spectacular dude! Anyway, I wanted to tell you I have a lot of your ark work (most of the ones you posted on your site) at home in a box in a closet. I’m planning on putting it up somewhere someday cus it’s freaking awesome and I like to tell people this is my work…. then I tell them that I’m joking and I’m not that talented and that a guy named Jon Groot drew them…. So anyway, do you need these for a gallery or something? Miss ya bro. Hope to see you in this life again and play some soccer ol’ Rassy style.

I attached my email I think.

Keep drawing man, it’s definitely your thing! And I like the dew.

    • Jeremiah JONES! Thanks for commenting man. It’s always so great to hear from you. I’m glad you like the blog. You can ”follow” it if you want to stay updated when there’s a new piece. 🙂 I’ll write you a bit more in a little on Facebook. Hope all is well!
      Love you man. 🙂

  2. Looks really good Jon. I’m writing you from a cafe in iceland. Your artwork would work really well on the walls of this place. I hope your internship is going well. Keep up the pretty ugly pictures you create.

    • Thanks Donovan. I appreciate it. My internship will be starting in a few days. I am looking forward to hearing all about it. My high school art teacher was kind enough to provide me with some tips about how to approach cafes and such to promote my work. What kind of cafe is it?

    • Now that is a colorful place. hehe. I need to get going on another piece soon as I have been a bit more occupied with my internship. Look forward to seeing you back in Denmark.
